The goal of the Clinical Laboratory at Putnam County Hospital is to provide high quality and efficient service to our patients, physicians and community.  Laboratory services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

Services and testing available include:  General and Special Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Serology, Urinalysis, Microbiology and Blood Bank. 

COLA has awarded our laboratory full accreditation for all areas of testing.  COLA is a worldwide organization that sets standards for laboratory performance.  Each year, 36 separate proficiency tests are performed that confirm the accuracy of the lab work performed at Putnam County Hospital.  Every two years, COLA confirms the excellence of testing in our laboratory through an in-depth, on-site inspection of the quality of testing being performed.
