There are many aspects of the Radiology Department at Putnam County Hospital that stand out as being noteworthy for a community the size of Putnam County and the surrounding areas. The Administrator and Board of Directors have been very progressive in ensuring that the best in technology is offered for the imaging needs of our patients.
Our Board Certified team of Radiologists provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They bring capabilities to our community usually found only at larger facilities.
The highly skilled teams of Radiologic Technologists are all graduates of accredited Radiology Programs, certified by the State of Indiana and maintain yearly-continued education requirements that allow them to keep abreast of the newest techniques as they develop in our profession. Many of our technologists are cross-trained in several imaging modalities. As a result of this cross-training we staff technologists in-house and ready to complete exams at any hour of the day.
The Radiology Department offers a wide range of services in an effort to provide convenience to the local population by allowing them to forego a lengthy drive and day off work to obtain imaging studies necessary for their well being. We work closely with patients many times offering exam times outside of our normal schedules to accommodate their healthcare needs.
