    Knowledge of third party payor procedures and collection techniques. Ability to deal effectively with patients and co-workers. Good follow through skills. Ability to communicate clearly
    Post cash/check receipts (co-pays) and miscellaneous monies received via the mail and interoffice into the computer and prepare daily bank deposit by remote deposit, CC online or deposit slips. Post insurance/patient payments received via lock box or EFT daily.
    Process refunds and payment plans daily. Post and issue refunds
    Process Collections Agency Remits weekly
    Respond to inquiries concerning account balances, third party payments, etc., from patients, relatives and/or third party payers in a timely manner.
    Routinely review all claims that have been entered into the system for 30-45 days within your designated insurance group
    Contact third party payers by telephone or online that have failed to make appropriate payments with follow up correspondence (or fax), as indicated.
    Demonstrates good judgment and reasoning when investigating and solving problems. Demonstrates good judgment in respecting the confidentiality of patient and employee information. Seeks guidance and direction in the performance of responsibilities and duties. Consistently acts as a customer service representative for the company.

  • CNA (FT w/Ben) – 11.23.16

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for a CNA position to be filled for inpatient direct care. A nursing assistant/orderly assists the nursing staff by performing specific tasks. These tasks are supportive and complimentary to nursing practice and the performance of their tasks are essential to patient care. Responsibilities include daily hygienic care of the hospitalized patient and care of the patient's environment. All age groups will be encountered by this position. FT position with benefits working 7a-7p.

    Requirements:
    Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant course.
    Previous experience as a nursing assistant (vocational training).
    May require lifting over 40#.

    We are looking for a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.

    We are currently seeking a friendly, patient-focused Medical Assistant or LPN for our North Putnam Family Healthcare Clinic in Bainbridge, Indiana. Must be willing to work front and back office. Certification is required and experience preferred. Full-time, benefit eligible M-F 8-5.

This position is located in our hospital in our newly renovated 3rd floor specialty clinic in Greencastle, Indiana. It is a full-time, day shift and benefit eligible position.     • Electronic Medical Records documentation in all of the following systems will be a requirement: Allscripts, EPIC, Cerner, CPSI, NextGen

  • Clinical Office Assistant (FT w/Ben) – 11.3.16

    The position is to coordinate the front desk operations in a multidisciplinary specialty clinic. The candidate will need to be proficient at scheduling and functioning in several EMR systems.  Performs a variety of routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of a multiple specialty physician’s office. Responsible for coordinating and performing general office functions and receptionist duties including greeting patients, maintaining patient schedules & patient reports, typing correspondence, answering phones and transmitting messages. Accurately completes all insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, pre-certifications and medical necessity for various procedures. The Clinical Office Assistant is clinically competent and able to multitask in a fast paced multi-specialty clinic. Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.

    Requirements:

    • CPR Certification
    • Certified Medical Assistant or LPN license required.
    • Previous physician office and billing experience.
    • Previous experience with Prior Authorizations and insurance knowledge
    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Allscripts, CPSI, NextGen, EPIC and Cerner.

  • Dietary Aide (FT w/ Ben.) – 11.29.16

    Putnam County Hospital's Dietary department is currently searching for a full-time Dietary Aide. This person would be willing to work days or evening shifts based on the need of this department. This person would also be required to work every other weekend and some holidays. This person will be cross-trained within other dietary positions, as needed. This is a full time position with benefits.

  • CMA – Pain Mngmnt (PT w/Ben.) – 10.14.16

    We are currently seeking a friendly, professional Certified Medical Assistant for our busy Pain Clinic located inside the Putnam County Hospital. This is a part-time, day shift and benefit eligible position. Daily work duties are clerical in nature with some direct patient care involving patient transport and vital signs. The individual must possess the ability to multi-task a wide variety of duties efficiently and meet deadlines consistently. Certification is required and medical office experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

    Primary responsibilities for this position include:
    • Insurance, certification and authorizations
    • Triage of telephone calls and scheduling
    • Registration and scheduling of patients in a timely and efficient manner
    • Main point of contact for all referrals and their processing within the clinic
    • Working directly with Physician and/or Nurse Practitioners

  • Housekeeping (FT w/Ben) – 10.3.16

    We are looking for a housekeeper to clean and service building areas, move furniture, equipment and supplies in and around the facility. Perform a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.

    Regulatory Requirements:
    • Some related experience in the healthcare setting preferred.
    • Must have knowledge of proper housekeeping technique and procedures.
    • Must know appropriate house cleaning equipment and supplies used to complete assigned duties.
    • Must be a High School Graduate

  • Lab – MLT-ASCP (PRN) – 9.22.16

    Our Laboratory Department is currently seeking an MLT to perform testing in all areas. This associate will also be required to perform venipuncture as needed and to hold a current MLT (ASCP) certification. This position is prn/as needed, while also working weekends and holidays.

  • PRN Respiratory Therapist – 7.8.16

    Respiratory Therapist – PRN

    RRT or CRT required.
    Rotating shifts.

    We are looking for a PRN Respiratory Therapist. RRT or CRT required. This position will be rotating shifts.

  • RN ICU (FT Wknd, Nights, w/Ben.) – 7.7.16

    Recent salary adjustments to be competitive in the market.

    Provides direct and indirect patient care in the critical care setting. Communicates with provider/house supervisor/co-workers/manager, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in the departments with adequate supervision.
    Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
    • Provides direct patient care in the Critical Care setting.
    • Ability to read telemetry strips.
    • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Acts as a resource for staff and physicians.
    • Effective interpersonal skills.
    • Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

    • Manages multiple gtts such as diltiazem, insulin, heparin, etcetera

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Current, unrestricted Indiana RN License
    • BLS certification required.
    • ACLS, PALS preferred.
    • Basic computer knowledge and organizational skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    Works Friday 7p-730a and Saturday 7p-7:30a plus an additional 8 hour shift on Sunday 3p-11p. Will be paid weekly bonus, has 2 weekends off per year to start.

  • Lab – Phlebotomist (PRN) – 6.3.16

    We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture blood collection, urine collection, urine drug screen collection and glucometer operation. Assists with other duties as requested. Previous work experience and medical assistant training helpful but not required.

    Under the general supervision of the laboratory director and bench supervisor, the phlebotomist assumes the responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures on patients ranging in age from newborns to geriatrics. Venipuncture and skin punctures are performed competently and expediently using aseptic technique. Has thorough knowledge of test specimen requirements including fasting and dietary requirements.

    Position Requirements:
    1. High School graduate or equivalent.
    2. Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred.
    3. Experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred.
    4. Excellent customer relation's skills/able to deal effectively and tactfully with patients and visitors of all ages, with co-workers, physician's, and physician office staff.
    5. Mathematical, verbal, written skills at the high school level.
    6. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
    7. Basic computer knowledge required.

  • RN – Med Surg (PRN) – 1.15.16

    We are looking for one Registered Nurse for our Med Surg Department. The position is not benefit eligible and will be working 7p-7a night shift, prn.

  • RN – ICU (FT/PT/PRN w/Ben.) – 4.12.16
