  • Family Medicine of Cloverdale Team Lead – 11/20/2014

    In search of that special "take charge" person to fill our Team Lead position at FMOC. A Medical Assistant or LPN will be considered, supervisory experience highly preferred. Our ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to multi-task for this busy family practice.

    Job description: Collecting patient information and vital signs. Basic knowledge of medications and immunizations. Able to do intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered by provider. Collect urine and blood samples as ordered by provider. Assist with any in-office procedures. Schedule radiology and specialty testing as well as acquire any necessary prior authorizations/pre-certification for such. Schedule appointments with specialist's offices. Basic understanding of ICD-9 and ICD-10. Obtain prior authorizations for medications. Assisting with front desk registration, check in and check out patient functions. Basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Word and EHR experience or willingness to learn. Answering phone calls and returning phone calls to patients or other provider office in a very friendly and caring manner.

    Job duties may vary day to day as the need arises, so we need a flexible team player who leads by example. Previous management experience in a medical practice is preferred.

    Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5 p.m. This is an exempt and benefit eligible position.

  • Quality Management Coordinator – 11/18/2014

    We are looking for an outstanding candidate for the Quality Management Coordinator with Putnam County Hospital. Position will be responsible for the overall planning and implementing the performance improvement program to meet the standards of the hospital.  Provides quality improvement education to medical staff, hospital staff, and the Governing Body.  Facilitates performance improvement activities throughout the organization, including hospital owned practices.  Acts as a resource person to the administrative team, department managers, and medical staff.  Assists with the preparation of all regulatory body surveys, i.e. HFAP, State Licensing Review, and CMS Validation surveys.  Candidate must hold a current RN license in the State of Indiana and consistently demonstrate a professional, self-directed, mature, disciplined, and tactful approach to department responsibilities.  Previous experience in performance improvement activities and acute care nursing preferred.  In addition, candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  Must have computer knowledge, word processing and database management preferred.  This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • Medical Records Coder – 10/20/14

    Job Description:

    This position entails review of outpatient medical records for the purpose of assigning the appropriate ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM diagnosis and CPT codes procedural codes. Coder is recognized as an expert and responsible for maintaining a 98% accuracy rate in the assignment of codes with the use of an encoder/grouper or book if deemed appropriate.

    Knowledge/Skills  - Job Requirements:

    • AHIMA Credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
    • 2+ yrs experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT coding
    • Proficiency in the operation of computers
    • Proficient in the use of an encoder/group
    • Skilled in data entry
    • High standards and work ethics
    • Able to work efficiently under pressure
    • Able to meet required deadlines
    • Professional mannerism and attitude
    • Ability to problem-solve and make appropriate decisions


    Functions - Job Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory MT/MLT – 10/14/14

    Our Laboratory Department is currently seeking an MT/MLT to perform testing in all areas including: chemistry, hematology, special chemistry, serology, urinalysis, microbiology and blood bank. This associate will also be required to perform venipuncture as needed and hold a current MT/MLT (ASCP) certification. This shift will be full time 11a-7p and benefit eligible position.

  • Helpdesk Technician 9/15/14

    HelpDesk Technician

    Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, Indiana is currently seeking an experienced Help Desk Technician to join its IT Department. This position is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with an excellent rural healthcare provider.  This position reports directly to the Director of IT.

    Duties include:

    -Answering phone calls and emails regarding computer hardware and software problems

    -Active Directory Management (adding/deleting users, Group Policy, OU management)

    -Experience with Microsoft operating systems; XP, Win7, and Server 2003/2008

    -Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010 (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

    -Installation and support of Symantec anti-virus software

    -Experience in using remote control tools to troubleshoot user’s computer problems

    -Installation and support of windows based printers and printer networking support

    -Understanding of VPN, RDP, Citrix and other remote access tools

    -Maintain and monitor system data backups

    -Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange email messaging system

    -Experience with service desk ticketing systems

    -Understanding of security best practices regarding IT Infrastructure

    Required Skills and Education:

    -Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Help Desk position or equivalent technical experience

    -Experience with data networking, servers, exchange email and desktop support

    -Strong communication and customer service skills

    -Ability to be on-call 24/7 to support hospital systems

    Physical demands include:

    Must be able to remain in a stationary or sitting position for periods of time

    Must be able to exchange accurate and detailed information when called upon

    Frequently lift and/or move computer equipment weighing up to 40 pounds

  • FT Laboratory Manager

    Job Requirements

    Must have minimum of AAS from an accredited school of Medical Technology, BS preferred Passing score on an appropriate Board of Registry examination Certification for Medical Technologist (ASCP, HEW/HHW, NCA) Minimum of four years’ experience in the clinical laboratory with at least two years in a supervisory position.
    Job Responsibilities Ensures that laboratory procedures are performed as defined in accepted standards of regulatory agencies (CAP, HFAP, ISDH, CLIA, etc.) Maintains compliance with hospital safety and infection control policies Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies Monitors compliance with the plans related to blood borne pathogens and chemical hygiene Department and staff supervision per Hospital policy Troubleshoots problems with laboratory instruments

    This is a full time exempt, benefit eligible position.

  • Laboratory Bench Supervisor (full-time) 1/30/14

    The Laboratory Bench Supervisor position is a full-time, benefit eligible position working days, Monday -Friday 8a-4:30p.  At least one of the following is required:  an Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Medical technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related science. At least one of the following is preferred:  progression from MLT to MT status per ASCP (or equivalent) certification guidelines, certification as an MT or MLT by ASCP, AMT or NCA, or completed an information system operation training course provided by the information system vendor either on-site or at the vendor's training facility.  This position also requires a general knowledge of laboratory testing in the areas of:  hematology, microbiology, serology, blood banking, urinalysis, chemistry and drugs of abuse.  Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance and performance improvement, equipment troubleshooting,  and technical procedure writing.  Please fill out an online application and attach your resume for consideration.
