    Job Summary:

    Directs financial reporting activities of the organization. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations. Directs preparation of budgets. Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. Arranges for audits of company’s accounts. Participates in the departments’ performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.

    • Supervises all Accounting Department personal.

    • Ensures that a monthly time schedule is established for the processing of computer reports necessary for the preparation of monthly financial statements; implements corrective action necessary to meet established deadlines.
    • Assists in preparation of the budget process and statistical data.
    • Demonstrates effectiveness in pulling together all the necessary information needed to compare revenue and expenses and determine the facility’s actual financial position.
    • Monitors the implementation of checks and balances which continually evaluate accounting practices, reporting procedures and record keeping.
    • Maintains regulatory requirement, including all state, federal and local regulations.
    • Attends annual review and performs departmental in services.
    • Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, department operations, fire, and safety and infection control.

  • CMA Front/Back Float – Cloverdale (FT w/Ben) 4.6.17

    We are currently seeking a friendly, compassionate, patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant for our busy family practice in Cloverdale. This position will involve performing both front office and back office duties.  Duties included are triage of telephone calls, scheduling, checking patients in/out, collection of payment, scanning, faxing and general office duties.  Experience for this position include obtaining prior authorization, rooming patients and taking medical history, updating medications, phlebotomy & giving injections, assisting with procedures, working directly with a Physician and/or Physician Assistant.  Certification is required and medical office experience is preferred.

    This is a full-time, day shift, and benefit eligible position.

    Regulatory Requirements:

    • One year experience in office setting or hospital setting.
    • Experience with billing and insurance preferred.

    Functions encompass clinical, quality improvement and staffing duties.   Daily activities may include patient profile review; medication order entry and dispensing; review and development of therapy protocols; renal dosing and antibiotic/anticoagulant monitoring.     Full Time position, scheduled 40 hours per week – 10 hour shifts. Occasional Sunday’s may be needed for payroll purposes. Responsible for Scheduling Nursing Staff, Time and Attendance with daily oversight of staffing needs and tracking regulatory compliance for the Nursing Departments.     Job Responsibilities Ensures that laboratory procedures are performed as defined in accepted standards of regulatory agencies (CAP, HFAP, ISDH, CLIA, etc.) Maintains compliance with hospital safety and infection control policies Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies Monitors compliance with the plans related to blood borne pathogens and chemical hygiene Department and staff supervision per Hospital policy Troubleshoots problems with laboratory instruments.

    Post cash/check receipts (co-pays) and miscellaneous monies received via the mail and interoffice into the computer and prepare daily bank deposit by remote deposit, CC online or deposit slips. Post insurance/patient payments received via lock box or EFT daily.
    Process refunds and payment plans daily. Post and issue refunds
    Process Collections Agency Remits weekly
    Respond to inquiries concerning account balances, third party payments, etc., from patients, relatives and/or third party payers in a timely manner.
    Routinely review all claims that have been entered into the system for 30-45 days within your designated insurance group
    Contact third party payers by telephone or online that have failed to make appropriate payments with follow up correspondence (or fax), as indicated.
    Demonstrates good judgment and reasoning when investigating and solving problems. Demonstrates good judgment in respecting the confidentiality of patient and employee information.
