  • Patient Account Rep

    Position is responsible for collection on outstanding AR. This includes working reports, calling payers, submitting appeals, processing correspondence. Individual will assist patients, family members, visitors and clinical personnel via phone and face to face with account balances. Collect payments, set up payment arrangements. Experience with patient accounting in a healthcare organization; collections or medical billing experience is necessary. This is a full time, benefit elgible position working Monday thru Friday 9 to 5pm.

  • NURSE PRACTITIONER (4/15/14)

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work in our North Putnam Family Healthcare physician office.

    Tasks and Responsibilities include:

     •Assess the health status, illness conditions, response to illness and health risks of individuals, families, and groups, employing the skills of taking histories, conducting physical examinations, and using laboratory and other diagnostic data.

    •Diagnose the actual or potential health problem and need, based upon analysis of the data collected.

    •Plan therapeutic interventions jointly with the patient. The goal is to develop the problem solving and self-care abilities of the patient to the greatest possible extent. The diagnosis gives direction to the plan of care, although the plan may include actions needed to further delineate (or diagnose) the problem.

     •Evaluate with the patient-and when indicated, with the collaborating health care provider, team, and/or consulting specialist-the effectiveness, comprehensiveness, and continuity of the intervention through assessment, modification of the plan, if necessary, and documentation of health care outcomes.

    Requirements: 

    Qualified candidates must have a Masters of Nursing Science (MSN) from an NLN or CCNE accredited school of nursing with preparation as a FNP; currently licensed registered nurse in the state of Indiana; Board Certified; Nurse Practitioner authorization or eligible and 2 plus years of experience in a physician office setting preferred.

  • Quality Management Coordinator (4/15/14)

    We are looking for an outstanding candidate for the Quality Management Coordinator with Putnam County Hospital.  Position will be responsible for the overall planning and implementing the performance improvement program to meet the standards of the hospital. 

    This position provides quality improvement education to medical staff, hospital staff, and the Governing Body.  Facilitates performance improvement activities throughout the organization, including hospital owned practices.  Acts as a resource person to the administrative team, department managers, and medical staff.  Assists with the preparation of all regulatory body surveys, i.e. HFAP, State Licensing Review, and CMS Validation surveys. 

    Candidate must hold a current RN license in the State of Indiana and consistently demonstrate a professional, self-directed, mature, disciplined, and tactful approach to department responsibilities.  Previous experience in performance improvement activities and acute care nursing preferred.  In addition, candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  Must have computer knowledge, word processing and database management preferred.  This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • Receptionist / Administrative Assistance (4/15/14)

    In search of that special “take charge” Receptionist /Administrative Assistant for a very busy office.  Must have strong communication and organization skills, including the ability to multi-task.  This position will be a resource for the Administrative team and must demonstrate a professional, self-directed, mature, and disciplined approach.

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must.  Knowledge in Microsoft Access a plus.  Must have the ability to create and interpret data reports and maintain the utmost in confidentiality.  Our ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have impeccable customer service skills, which are imperative.

    In addition, experience in Marketing, advertising, graphic design, associate relations and community relations a plus.

  • Dietary Aide (part-time) 4/15/14

    Entry level, position in our Dietary Department.  Must be dependable and willing to work a flexible schedule.  May be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays. (no-benefits)

  • Registered Nurse (PRN 7PM-7AM)

     We are currently looking for well experienced RN’s for our Med Surg floor. This is a PRN, as needed, non-benefit eligible, night position, working 7pm-7am.

  • Registered Nurse (Part-Time 7P-7A)

    We are currently looking for well experienced RN’s for our Med Surg floor. This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible, night position, working 7PM-7AM.

  • Cloverdale Family Healthcare – Team Lead (full-time Medical Asst or LPN) 4/2/14

    In search of that special "take charge" person to fill a Team Lead position at our Cloverdale Family Healthcare Clinic. A Certified Medical Assistant or LPN will be considered.  Supervisory  and physician office practice  highly preferred. Our ideal candidate will be detail oriented,  and able to multi-task for this busy family practice.

    Job description: Collecting patient information and vital signs. Basic knowledge of medications and immunizations. Able to do intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered by provider. Collect urine and blood samples as ordered by provider. Assist with any in-office procedures. Schedule radiology and specialty testing as well as procure any necessary prior authorizations/pre-certification for such. Schedule appointments with specialist's offices. Basic understanding of ICD-9 and ICD-10. Obtain prior authorizations for medications. Basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Word and EHR experience or willingness to learn. Answering phone calls and returning phone calls to patients or other provider office in a friendly and caring manner. Job duties may vary day to day as the need arises, so we need a flexible team player who leads by example.

    Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5 p.m., benefit eligible position.

  • Housekeeper (part-time w/benefits) 4/1/14

    We currently have an opening for a part-time housekeeper.  This position requires a person with a flexible schedule as it requires day, evening, weekend and holiday hours.  Working at least 42 hours per pay period (every two weeks).  This is a benefit eligible position.

  • Dietary Aide (part-time) 3/14/14

    Our Dietary Department has an entry level, part-time vacancy.  This postion also requires working every other weekend

  • Hospitalist E/M Coder and Charge Auditor (part-time temporary) 2/19/14

    Credential Requirements: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA

    Responsibilities: This position will be mainly responsible for auditing the physician documentation and manually entering the charges. Data entry to Excel spreadsheet, follow an audit tool, calculate physician accuracy, etc.

    This position will report to the Director of Medical Records.

    The applicant needs to have:  Excellent data entry skills, Extremely detailed, Work well in a team environment, Knowledge in Evaluation and Management coding, Professional mannerism, Ability to problem solve, Able to meet deadline requirements, Work under pressure, Proficient with computers

    This is a Temporary Position, no benefits.

  • Laboratory Bench Supervisor (full-time) 1/30/14

    The Laboratory Bench Supervisor position is a full-time, benefit eligible position working days, Monday -Friday 8a-4:30p.  At least one of the following is required:  an Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Medical technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related science. At least one of the following is preferred:  progression from MLT to MT status per ASCP (or equivalent) certification guidelines, certification as an MT or MLT by ASCP, AMT or NCA, or completed an information system operation training course provided by the information system vendor either on-site or at the vendor's training facility.  This position also requires a general knowledge of laboratory testing in the areas of:  hematology, microbiology, serology, blood banking, urinalysis, chemistry and drugs of abuse.  Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance and performance improvement, equipment troubleshooting,  and technical procedure writing.  Please fill out an online application and attach your resume for consideration.

  • Medical Records Auditor / Coder (full-time) 1/20/14

    We are seeking an individual with 5+ years of experience in ICD and CPT coding. This position entails review of outpatient and inpatient medical records. Coders are responsible for maintaining a 98% accuracy rate in the assignment of codes with the use of an encoder or book if deemed appropriate.

    • AHIMA Credentials: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
    • 5+ years of experience in ICD and CPT coding
    • Experience in auditing charts preferred
    • Injection & infusion experience preferred
    • Knowledge in assigning E/M levels
    • Proficient in the operation of computers
    • Proficient in the use of an encoder/code book
    • Skilled in data entry
