  • Certified Surgical Technician (6.24.15)

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for a Certified Surgical Technician to join our Surgery team!

    Monday-Friday day shift

    Certification required.

    Call required.

    2 years minimum experience preferred.

    A Certified Surgical Technician is a person who is trained and has demonstrated the ability in surgical technical skills and has a knowledge of biological science. An CST assists in nursing care activities within the peri-operative services under the direct supervision of an operating room staff registered nurse. Assists in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. Functions as a member of the sterile team in donning gowns and gloves, creating and maintaining a sterile field and issuing instruments to surgeons. All age groups will be encountered by this position.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (2 positions) 6.23.15

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for two CNA positions to be filled for direct inpatient care. A nursing assistant/orderly assists the nursing staff by performing specific tasks. These tasks are supportive and complimentary to nursing practice and the performance of their tasks are essential to patient care. Responsibilities include: daily hygienic care of the hospitalized patient and care of the patient's environment. All age groups will be encountered by this position.  This position is a 7 pm - 7 am shift.

    Requirements:

    Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant course.

    Previous experience as a nursing assistant (vocational training).

    May require lifting over 40#.

  • Medical Assistant/CMA – Putnam Prompt Care (6.17.15)

    Putnam County Hospital is currently seeking a friendly, patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for our Putnam Prompt Care after-hours clinic.  Certification is required and experience is preferred.  This position can be part and/or full time.

    Experience for this position includes:

    • Electronic Medical Records (Allscripts)
    • Insurance, recertification and authorizations
    • Triage of telephone calls and scheduling
    • Rooming patients and taking medical history
    • Updating Medications
    • Phlebotomy and giving injections
    • Obtaining prior authorizations
    • Assisting with Procedures
    • Working directly with a Physician and/or  Nurse Practitioner

     

     

  • Nurse Practitioner – 2 Positions Available (6.17.15)

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for two experienced Nurse Practitioners to work our Putnam Pediatric and Internal Medicine physician offices – Greencastle and Spencer, IN.  Openings are due to growth within our network.

    Tasks and Responsibilities include:

    Assess the health status, illness conditions, response to illness and health risks of individuals, families, and groups, employing the skills of taking histories, conducting physical examinations, and using laboratory and other diagnostic data.

    Diagnose the actual or potential health problem and need, based upon analysis of the data collected.

    Plan therapeutic interventions jointly with the patient. The goal is to develop the problem solving and self-care abilities of the patient to the greatest possible extent. The diagnosis gives direction to the plan of care, although the plan may include actions needed to further delineate (or diagnose) the problem.

    Evaluate with the patient-and when indicated, with the collaborating health care provider, team, and/or consulting specialist-the effectiveness, comprehensiveness, and continuity of the intervention through assessment, modification of the plan, if necessary, and documentation of health care outcomes.

     

    Requirements:  Qualified candidates must have a Masters of Nursing Science (MSN) from an NLN or CCNE accredited school of nursing with preparation as a FNP or APRN; currently licensed registered nurse in the state of Indiana; Board Certified; Nurse Practitioner authorization or eligible and 2 plus years of experience in a physician office setting preferred.

  • Payment Poster (6/11/15)

    Billing Office - Payment Poster

    We are looking for a fast and accurate Payment Poster with prior healthcare billing experience! Strong and accurate data entry is necessary along with a thorough understanding of EOB’s. Duties include but are not limited to accurately posting insurance & patient payments daily and working with the accounting & billing staff to resolve reconciliation and posting issues. Excellent time management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to operate computer systems-including MS Office Suite. The ideal candidate will be a team player.

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • RN – Oncology (6/10/15)

    We are looking for an exceptional experienced RN for our outpatient Cancer Center.  This full time position will require 10 days per 2 week pay period and is a Monday-Friday position.  This nurse will administer chemotherapy, draw labs, give injections, provide phone triage, & assist the oncologist, among other various duties.  This team member must have strong assessment skills and be able to react quickly to emergencies.  We are looking for a committed, efficient, compassionate, organized nurse to join our team.

    Another integral part of the position will include fulfilling our Registry Data Coordinator position in our Accredited Cancer Program.  This involves overseeing various activities in the Cancer Registry program, assisting with audits and staging, and reporting quartly during Cancer Committee meetings.

    Oncology Experience, Oncology Certification and BSN preferred.  We are willing to provide oncology and registry data training for the right candidate.

    Requirements:

    1. RN with 3-5 years experience
    2. Critical Care experience
    3. ACLS Certification (can enroll in next PCH class, if necessary)

    This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • RN – Surgery

    We are looking for a Registered Nurse for our Surgery Department.

    • License is Required
    • Experience preferred, but not mandatory.
    • CPR certification required.
    • Must commit to becoming ACLS, PALS, BLS certified within one year of hire.
    • Call time is mandatory.

    This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • Front Desk Receptionist – Family Med. of Cloverdale

    Regulatory Requirements:

    • High School Graduate or equivalent.
    • One year experience in office setting or hospital setting.
    • Experience with billing and insurance preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task.

    Language Skills:

    • Ability to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.
    • Additional languages helpful.

    Skills:

    • Basic computer knowledge.
    • Basic Electronic Health Records knowledge.
    • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • RN – Cardiac Rehab (5/26/2015)

    Provide direct patient care and monitoring during patient conditioning sessions. Focus is on the preventive and restorative healthcare needs of a patient following a cardiac event. Provide patient education on disease entities, cardiac risk factors and behavior modification. Assist with cardiac testing which includes, but is not limited to, Cardiac Holter, Stress Echo Testing and Cardiac Nuclear Studies. Participate in the establishment and review of departmental policies and procedures and serves as an integral part of ongoing performance improvement and CQI activities. Participate in community events for wellness education and awareness. Candidate Qualifications: RN with current, active Indiana License BLS and ACLS provider required Strong Intensive/Coronary Care clinical background desired Able to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team Able to maintain strict patient/associate confidentiality.

    This is a part time (24 hours per week), benefit eligibile position.

     

  • Inpatient Department Manager (4/28/15)

    We are looking for an outstanding candidate as the Inpatient Department Manager in our critical care access hospital.  This position will be responsible for Inpatient Units, Cardiac Rehab and Swing Bed.   Candidate must hold a BSN or enrolled in a BSN program and demonstrate a professional, self-directed, mature, disciplined, and tactful approach to department responsibilities Previous experience with policy/procedure development, budgets and clinical management is preferred.

    This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • Lab Manager – 2/12/2015

    Job Requirements

    Must have minimum of AAS from an accredited school of Medical Technology, BS preferred Passing score on an appropriate Board of Registry examination Certification for Medical Technologist (ASCP, HEW/HHW, NCA) Minimum of four years’ experience in the clinical laboratory with at least two years in a supervisory position.
    Job Responsibilities Ensures that laboratory procedures are performed as defined in accepted standards of regulatory agencies (CAP, HFAP, ISDH, CLIA, etc.) Maintains compliance with hospital safety and infection control policies Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies Monitors compliance with the plans related to blood borne pathogens and chemical hygiene Department and staff supervision per Hospital policy Troubleshoots problems with laboratory instruments

    We are looking for a PRN Sleep Lab Technologist. RPSGT is preferred but will consider Credentialed Respiratory Therapist.
