  • Laboratory MT/MLT (ASCP) (PRN) – 9.3.15

    Our Laboratory Department is currently seeking an MT/MLT to perform testing in all areas including: chemistry, hematology, special chemistry, serology, urinalysis, microbiology and blood bank. This associate will also be required to perform venipuncture as needed and to hold a current MT/MLT (ASCP) certification.  The position is PRN hour.

  • RN – Oncology (PRN) 8.24.15

    We are expanding our staff and looking for an exceptional experienced nurse for our outpatient Cancer Center. This prn position may require up to scheduled 4 days per 2 week pay period and availability prn for vacations, etc. This nurse will administer chemotherapy and other infusions, draw labs, give injections, provide phone triage, and assist the oncologist among various other duties.   Our team members must have strong assessment skills and able to react quickly to emergencies. We are looking for a committed, efficient, compassionate, organized nurse to join our team.

    Oncology Experience, Oncology Certification, and BSN preferred.

    We would be willing to provide oncology training for the right candidate.

    Requirements:

    1. RN with 3-5 years experience
    2. Critical Care experience
    3. ACLS Certification (can enroll in next PCH class)

     

     

  • Dietary Aide (PT w/out benefits) 8.19.15

    Putnam County Hospital's Dietary department is currently searching for a part-time Dietary Aide. This person would be willing to work days or evening shifts based on the need of this department. This person will be cross-trained within other dietary positions, as needed. This is a part time position without benefits.

  • Phlebotomist (FT w/benefits) 8.19.15

    We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture blood collection, urine collection, urine drug screen collection and glucometer operation. Assists with other duties as requested. Previous work experience and medical assistant training helpful but not required.

    Under the general supervision of the laboratory director and bench supervisor, the phlebotomist assumes the responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures on patients ranging in age from newborns to geriatrics. Venipuncture and skin punctures are performed competently and expediently using aseptic technique. Has thorough knowledge of test specimen requirements including fasting and dietary requirements.

    Position Requirements: 1. High School graduate or equivalent. 2. Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred. 3. Experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred. 4. Excellent customer relation's skills/able to deal effectively and tactfully with patients and visitors of all ages, with co-workers, physician's, and physician office staff. 5. Mathematical, verbal, written skills at the high school level. 6. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. 7. Basic computer knowledge required.

    This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Hours will be Monday-Friday 12-8 pm.

     

  • Registered Nurse – ICU (2) – 8.5.15

    We are looking for two Registered Nurse's for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Department. The two positions are full time and benefit eligible positions. Both will be the 7p-7a, night shift.

    • License is Required
    • ICU Experience is Required
    • Must be ACLS, PALS, BLS certified
  • Nursing Resource Assistant (7.27.15)

    Full Time position, scheduled 40 hours per week – 10 hour shifts. Occasional Sunday’s may be needed for payroll purposes. Responsible for scheduling Nursing Staff, Time and Attendance with daily oversight of staffing needs and tracking regulatory compliance for the Nursing Departments. Works directly with the Nursing Management Team and Human Resources. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and easily adapts to other computer applications.

    This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • Maintenance Specialist (7.9.15)

    Putnam County Hospital is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Maintenance Department. This position involves assisting in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the hospital and the remote physician offices in good repair.

    This position requires a valid Indiana driver's license, scheduled weekend rotations, on call responsibilities, high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three to six (3-6) years related work experience in Building Maintenance.

    Ideal candidate will possess strong background in Electrical, HVAC, Steam Production, Commercial Plumbing, Bio-medical or related experience.

    This is a full-time position and is eligible for full benefits. Second shift preferred, but manager willing to allow individual to work on first shift rotation.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (2 positions) 6.23.15

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for two CNA positions to be filled for direct inpatient care. A nursing assistant/orderly assists the nursing staff by performing specific tasks. These tasks are supportive and complimentary to nursing practice and the performance of their tasks are essential to patient care. Responsibilities include: daily hygienic care of the hospitalized patient and care of the patient's environment. All age groups will be encountered by this position.  This position is a 7 pm - 7 am shift.

    Requirements:

    Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant course.

    Previous experience as a nursing assistant (vocational training).

    May require lifting over 40#.

  • Medical Assistant/CMA – Putnam Prompt Care (8.26.15)

    Putnam County Hospital is currently seeking a friendly, patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for our Putnam Prompt Care after-hours clinic.  Certification is required and experience is preferred.  This position is a full time position, benefit eligible.  Evening and weekend shifts are required.

    Experience for this position includes:

    • Electronic Medical Records (Allscripts)
    • Insurance, recertification and authorizations
    • Triage of telephone calls and scheduling
    • Rooming patients and taking medical history
    • Updating Medications
    • Phlebotomy and giving injections
    • Obtaining prior authorizations
    • Assisting with Procedures
    • Working directly with a Physician and/or  Nurse Practitioner

     

     

  • Nurse Practitioner – 2 Positions Available (6.17.15)

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for two experienced Nurse Practitioners to work in one of our physicians offices.  Openings are due to growth within our network.

    Tasks and Responsibilities include:

    Assess the health status, illness conditions, response to illness and health risks of individuals, families, and groups, employing the skills of taking histories, conducting physical examinations, and using laboratory and other diagnostic data.

    Diagnose the actual or potential health problem and need, based upon analysis of the data collected.

    Plan therapeutic interventions jointly with the patient. The goal is to develop the problem solving and self-care abilities of the patient to the greatest possible extent. The diagnosis gives direction to the plan of care, although the plan may include actions needed to further delineate (or diagnose) the problem.

    Evaluate with the patient-and when indicated, with the collaborating health care provider, team, and/or consulting specialist-the effectiveness, comprehensiveness, and continuity of the intervention through assessment, modification of the plan, if necessary, and documentation of health care outcomes.

     

    Requirements:  Qualified candidates must have a Masters of Nursing Science (MSN) from an NLN or CCNE accredited school of nursing with preparation as a FNP or APRN; currently licensed registered nurse in the state of Indiana; Board Certified; Nurse Practitioner authorization or eligible and 2 plus years of experience in a physician office setting preferred.

  • Sleep Lab Technologist – 1/14/2015

    We are looking for a PRN Sleep Lab Technologist. RPSGT is preferred but will consider Credentialed Respiratory Therapist.
