  • Registration Clerk (FT with Ben.) – 9.26.16

    We are looking for a friendly, outgoing mature person who is responsible for greeting incoming patients with a smile, distributing paperwork to the necessary departments, entering pertinent information in the patients account; including insurance and demographic, and being a team player who works well with co-workers as well as other departments.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Handle inquiries and patients coming in for services
    • Ensure all papers are properly filled out and input into system.
    • Enter and verify that all patient demographics and billing information correctly entered/verified at time of check in.
    • Process encounters daily for and balance to co-payments.
    • Collect balances due at time of check in.
    • Direct patients to relevant areas of building.
    • Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate departments successfully
    • Obtain signed statements.
    • Store patients' valuables.
    • Record payments..
    • Keep admission desk clean and organized.
    • Perform insurance data entry.
    • Follow all Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures
    • Perform admissions and transfers in a very timely manner

    We are currently hiring for a FT (Benefits Eligible) shift of Friday, Saturday and Sunday; 7pm – 7am.

  • Ancillary Service Registrar (PT w/Ben) – 9.12.16

    Putnam County Hospital is looking for an Ancillary Service Registrar responsible for the coordination of all Physician Practices and Hospitalists. This person would be responsible for coordinating registration services for the hospitalist nursing home and home health charges.
    This position would also be responsible for all incoming mail for the PCH Physician Practices. This includes reviewing, sorting, scanning, depositing, and uploading all payments.

    This position is part time (24 hours a week) and benefit eligible.

  • ED – Co-Manager (FT w/Ben) – 9.9.16

    Putnam County Hospital is in search of a Co-Manager for our busy Emergency Department.

    This is an exempt position and is benefit eligible.

    • Involves direct patient care in addition to managerial requirements.
    • BSN preferred. Otherwise, must commit to BSN program within three years of initial hire date.
    • 5 years emergency department or critical care experience required.
    • Management experience preferred.

  • Accounting – AP Clerk (FT w/Ben) – 9.7.16

    The PCH Accounting Department is looking for an experienced FT Accounts Payable Clerk who will process invoices according to hospital policies & prepare weekly payments. This individual will also be responsible for: maintaining all AP & vendor files, maintain and update various excel spreadsheets, assist bi-weekly with payroll, and provide additional support to the Accounting Department.

    AS Degree in Accounting required. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel preferred. Attention to detail, excellent problems solving skills, dependable, flexible and ability to meet deadlines required.

    This is a FT, benefit eligible position.

  • Inpatient Dept. Manager (FT w/Ben) – 8.19.16

    We are looking for an outstanding candidate as the Inpatient Department Manager in our critical care access hospital. This position will be responsible for Inpatient Units and Swing Bed. Candidate must hold a BSN or enrolled in a BSN program and demonstrate a professional, self-directed, mature, disciplined, and tactful approach to department responsibilities. Previous experience with policy/procedure development, budgets and clinical management is preferred.

    This is a full time, benefit eligible position, exempt.

  • Lab – MLT-ASCP (PRN) – 9.22.16

    Our Laboratory Department is currently seeking an MLT to perform testing in all areas. This associate will also be required to perform venipuncture as needed and to hold a current MLT (ASCP) certification. This position is prn/as needed, while also working weekends and holidays.

  • PRN Respiratory Therapist – 7.8.16

    Respiratory Therapist – PRN

    RRT or CRT required.
    Rotating shifts.

    We are looking for a PRN Respiratory Therapist. RRT or CRT required. This position will be rotating shifts.

  • RN ICU (FT Wknd, Nights, w/Ben.) – 7.7.16

    Recent salary adjustments to be competitive in the market.

    Provides direct and indirect patient care in the critical care setting. Communicates with provider/house supervisor/co-workers/manager, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in the departments with adequate supervision.
    Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
    • Provides direct patient care in the Critical Care setting.
    • Ability to read telemetry strips.
    • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Acts as a resource for staff and physicians.
    • Effective interpersonal skills.
    • Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
    • Demonstrates ability to be flexible, organized, and function well under stressful situations.
    • Manages multiple gtts such as diltiazem, insulin, heparin, etcetera

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Current, unrestricted Indiana RN License
    • BLS certification required.
    • ACLS, PALS preferred.
    • Basic computer knowledge and organizational skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    Works Friday 7p-730a and Saturday 7p-7:30a plus an additional 8 hour shift on Sunday 3p-11p. Will be paid weekly bonus, has 2 weekends off per year to start.

  • Lab – Phlebotomist (PRN) – 6.3.16

    We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture blood collection, urine collection, urine drug screen collection and glucometer operation. Assists with other duties as requested. Previous work experience and medical assistant training helpful but not required.

    Under the general supervision of the laboratory director and bench supervisor, the phlebotomist assumes the responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures on patients ranging in age from newborns to geriatrics. Venipuncture and skin punctures are performed competently and expediently using aseptic technique. Has thorough knowledge of test specimen requirements including fasting and dietary requirements.

    Position Requirements:
    1. High School graduate or equivalent.
    2. Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred.
    3. Experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred.
    4. Excellent customer relation's skills/able to deal effectively and tactfully with patients and visitors of all ages, with co-workers, physician's, and physician office staff.
    5. Mathematical, verbal, written skills at the high school level.
    6. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
    7. Basic computer knowledge required.

  • Dietary (PT w/out Ben.) – 4.11.16

    Putnam County Hospital's Dietary department is currently searching for a part-time Dietary Aide. This person would be willing to work days or evening shifts based on the need of this department. This person would also be required to work every other weekend and some holidays. This person will be cross-trained within other dietary positions, as needed. This is a part time position without benefits.

     

  • Medical Asst. (FT w/Benefits) – 4.11.16

    We are currently seeking a friendly, patient-focused Medical Assistant for our Putnam Prompt Care/Women’s Healthcare floater.  This position requires both front and back office duties and certification is required. Our ideal candidate will have experience.  This will be a full-time, benefit eligible position.  Evening and weekend hours are required.

     

  • Certified Scrub/Surgical Tech (FT w/Ben.) – 2.26.16

    Monday-Friday day shift
    Certification required.
    Call required.
    A Certified Surgical Technician is a person who is trained and has demonstrated the ability in surgical technical skills and has a knowledge of biological science. A CST assists in nursing care activities within the peri-operative services under the direct supervision of an operating room staff registered nurse. Assists in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. Functions as a member of the sterile team in donning gowns and gloves, creating and maintaining a sterile field and issuing instruments to surgeons. All age groups will be encountered by this position.
    New pay scale as of July 1, 2015.

  • RN – Med Surg (PRN) – 1.15.16

    We are looking for one Registered Nurse for our Med Surg Department. The position is not benefit eligible and will be working 7p-7a night shift, prn.

    • License is Required
    • Experience Preferred
    • Must be BLS certified
  • RN – ICU (FT/PT/PRN w/Ben.) – 4.12.16

    We are looking for Registered Nurse(s) for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Department.  We are looking for either or of the following

    1 - FT and benefit eligible position working 7p-7a night shift (3 shifts per week) or 2 - PT positions (2 shifts per week), benefit eligible.

    • Experience Preferred
    • Must be ACLS, PALS, BLS certified
  • Sleep Lab Tech – 1/14/2015

    We are looking for a PRN Sleep Lab Technologist. RPSGT is preferred but will consider Credentialed Respiratory Therapist.
