  • CMA or LPN for Putnam Pediatrics and Internal Medicine – 12/17/2014

    We are currently seeking a friendly, patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Pediatric and Internal Medicine Practice. This position is located in our hospital based physician practice in Greencastle, Indiana. It is a full-time, day shift and benefit eligible position. Certification is required and experience is preferred.

    Experience for this position includes:

    • Electronic Medical Records (Allscripts)
    • Insurance, recertification and authorizations
    • Triage of telephone calls and scheduling
    • Rooming patients and taking medial history
    • Updating Medications
    • Phlebotomy and giving injections
    • Obtaining prior authorizations
    • Assisting with Procedures
    • Working directly with a Physician and/or  Nurse Practitioner
  • Controller – 12/3/2014

    CONTROLLER: This is a full time Monday – Friday exempt position

    Job Summary:

    Directs financial reporting activities of the organization. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations. Directs preparation of budgets. Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. Arranges for audits of company’s accounts. Participates in the departments’ performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.

    Job Duties include, but, are not limited to the following:

    • Participating in the development of accounting and internal control policies and systems.
    • Communicates to the CFO the status of facility’s cash and investment management activities.
    • Supervises all Accounting Department personal.
    • Ensures that accurate information is provided on a timely basis and assists, as needed, in facilitating the efficient conduct of external audits, examinations and related financial projects.
    • Ensures that a monthly time schedule is established for the processing of computer reports necessary for the preparation of monthly financial statements; implements corrective action necessary to meet established deadlines.
    • Assists in preparation of the budget process and statistical data.
    • Demonstrates effectiveness in pulling together all the necessary information needed to compare revenue and expenses and determine the facility’s actual financial position.
    • Monitors the implementation of checks and balances which continually evaluate accounting practices, reporting procedures and record keeping.
    • Maintains regulatory requirement, including all state, federal and local regulations.
    • Attends annual review and performs departmental in services.
    • Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, department operations, fire, and safety and infection control.
    • Attends committee, CQI and management meetings, as appropriate.

  • Family Medicine of Cloverdale Team Lead – 11/20/2014

    In search of that special "take charge" person to fill our Team Lead position at FMOC. A Medical Assistant or LPN will be considered, supervisory experience highly preferred. Our ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to multi-task for this busy family practice.

    Job description: Collecting patient information and vital signs. Basic knowledge of medications and immunizations. Able to do intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered by provider. Collect urine and blood samples as ordered by provider. Assist with any in-office procedures. Schedule radiology and specialty testing as well as acquire any necessary prior authorizations/pre-certification for such. Schedule appointments with specialist's offices. Basic understanding of ICD-9 and ICD-10. Obtain prior authorizations for medications. Assisting with front desk registration, check in and check out patient functions. Basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Word and EHR experience or willingness to learn. Answering phone calls and returning phone calls to patients or other provider office in a very friendly and caring manner.

    Job duties may vary day to day as the need arises, so we need a flexible team player who leads by example. Previous management experience in a medical practice is preferred.

    Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5 p.m. This is an exempt and benefit eligible position.

  • Quality Management Coordinator – 11/18/2014

    We are looking for an outstanding candidate for the Quality Management Coordinator with Putnam County Hospital. Position will be responsible for the overall planning and implementing the performance improvement program to meet the standards of the hospital.  Provides quality improvement education to medical staff, hospital staff, and the Governing Body.  Facilitates performance improvement activities throughout the organization, including hospital owned practices.  Acts as a resource person to the administrative team, department managers, and medical staff.  Assists with the preparation of all regulatory body surveys, i.e. HFAP, State Licensing Review, and CMS Validation surveys.  Candidate must hold a current RN license in the State of Indiana and consistently demonstrate a professional, self-directed, mature, disciplined, and tactful approach to department responsibilities.  Previous experience in performance improvement activities and acute care nursing preferred.  In addition, candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  Must have computer knowledge, word processing and database management preferred.  This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

  • Medical Records Coder – 10/20/14

    Job Description:

    This position entails review of outpatient medical records for the purpose of assigning the appropriate ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM diagnosis and CPT codes procedural codes. Coder is recognized as an expert and responsible for maintaining a 98% accuracy rate in the assignment of codes with the use of an encoder/grouper or book if deemed appropriate.

    Knowledge/Skills  - Job Requirements:

    • AHIMA Credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
    • 2+ yrs experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT coding
    • Proficiency in the operation of computers
    • Proficient in the use of an encoder/group
    • Skilled in data entry
    • High standards and work ethics
    • Able to work efficiently under pressure
    • Able to meet required deadlines
    • Professional mannerism and attitude
    • Ability to problem-solve and make appropriate decisions


    Functions - Job Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory MT/MLT – 10/14/14

    Our Laboratory Department is currently seeking an MT/MLT to perform testing in all areas including: chemistry, hematology, special chemistry, serology, urinalysis, microbiology and blood bank. This associate will also be required to perform venipuncture as needed and hold a current MT/MLT (ASCP) certification. This shift will be full time 11a-7p and benefit eligible position.

    Job Requirements

    Must have minimum of AAS from an accredited school of Medical Technology, BS preferred Passing score on an appropriate Board of Registry examination Certification for Medical Technologist (ASCP, HEW/HHW, NCA) Minimum of four years’ experience in the clinical laboratory with at least two years in a supervisory position.
    Job Responsibilities Ensures that laboratory procedures are performed as defined in accepted standards of regulatory agencies (CAP, HFAP, ISDH, CLIA, etc.) Maintains compliance with hospital safety and infection control policies Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies Monitors compliance with the plans related to blood borne pathogens and chemical hygiene Department and staff supervision per Hospital policy Troubleshoots problems with laboratory instruments
