Dennis Weatherford has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Putnam County Hospital since 2000, providing more than two decades of leadership, vision, and commitment to advancing healthcare for the community. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on strengthening hospital services, supporting healthcare teams, and ensuring Putnam County Hospital continues to meet the evolving needs of the patients and families it serves.
Dennis earned his Pharmacy degree from Butler University and later completed his Master’s degree in Health Administration from Indiana University. His background in healthcare administration and leadership has provided a strong foundation for guiding the hospital’s growth, strategic initiatives, and continued dedication to quality patient care.
Beyond his work at Putnam County Hospital, Dennis is actively involved in rural healthcare advocacy and has played an important role in supporting healthcare initiatives throughout Indiana. He is highly engaged with the Indiana Rural Health Association and has served two appointments on the Board of the Indiana Hospital Association, contributing his expertise to efforts that strengthen healthcare access and services across the state.
A longtime member of the Greencastle community, Dennis and his wife, Ann, have raised their three children in the area and remain deeply connected to the community they proudly call home. He is passionate about serving others and continuing to support the mission of providing exceptional healthcare close to home.
Erin Mullin has been the Vice President, Human Resource at Putnam County Hospital since 2021. She received her Master’s in Public Administration/HR Development from Indiana State University and her Bachelors in Sociology from Indiana University. Erin’s prior experience has been in Human Resource Development and Leadership. She spends her time outside of work at various sporting events, cheering on her kids that attend South Putnam Schools. Her favorite part of her job is the fact that she gets to support people that she not only works with, but that also make up the surrounding community that she is very proud of.
Lindsay Patterson, RN, MSN, CMN Director of Quality & Compliance
I am proud to serve as the Director of Quality & Compliance at , where I have the opportunity to support quality patient care, regulatory excellence, and continuous improvement for our community.
My healthcare journey began locally as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant before I became a nurse in 2008. Since then, I have been fortunate to gain experience across many areas of healthcare, including clinic care, home health, hospice and palliative care, inpatient medical-surgical and progressive care nursing, telephonic case management, and healthcare operations leadership for the federal government.
Prior to joining PCH, I worked as a Business Change Manager supporting six medical management teams, focusing on electronic medical record development, government regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Those experiences helped shape my passion for improving healthcare systems while keeping patient-centered care at the heart of every decision.
As a working mom, I returned to school to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, followed by my Master of Science in Nursing, and later obtained my Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification. I strongly believe in lifelong learning and continued professional growth.
I have called Putnam County home for most of my life and feel fortunate to serve the community that has given so much to me and my family. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our two daughters. We love being outdoors and spending time camping, boating, hiking, riding side-by-sides, working out, traveling, exploring new places, and finding unique restaurants to try together.
Brooke Trissel serves as the Director of Marketing and New Business Development at Putnam County Hospital, where she plays a key role in advancing the organization’s community outreach efforts, strategic initiatives, marketing programs, and business development opportunities. She also oversees My Wellness Putnam County and supports projects focused on strengthening healthcare access, community partnerships, and overall wellness throughout the region.
A native of Brownsburg, Indiana, Brooke attended Purdue University before making Greencastle her home in 2011. Since joining the Putnam County community, she has been deeply committed to building relationships and creating meaningful connections between the hospital and the people it serves.
Brooke has a strong passion for community involvement and has dedicated her time to numerous local organizations and events. She is a past president of the Greencastle Rotary Club and the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce, and has contributed to community initiatives including the MusicFest Planning Committee, Shamrock 5K Planning Committee, and various local fundraising efforts.
Outside of her professional and community commitments, Brooke enjoys life on the farm with her husband and son, Porter. She is also a proud mom to Porter, Nate, and Katie. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and making memories together. Her favorite travel destination is Costa Rica, a place she enjoys for its beauty, culture, and experiences.
Brooke is passionate about serving her community and continues to bring energy, creativity, and dedication to her work at Putnam County Hospital and beyond.
Bethany Combs, RN has been the VP of Clinical Operations at Putnam County Hospital for 2 years. She received her Nursing Degrees from Ivy Tech and Indiana University and is currently pursuing her Masters in Health Administration from Western Governor’s University. Bethany has served the majority of her career in the Emergency Department for several Central Indiana Hospitals. Her family resides in Greencastle and her children attend South Putnam School Corporation. Her children are very active in athletics and she serves on a couple of non-profit athletic boards.
