Steve Kim
Steven Kim, MD is now seeing adult and pediatric patients (ages 2 and up) Putnam County Hospital in the newly renovated 3rd Floor Outpatient Specialty Clinic.
Dr. Kim, who practices in Indianapolis, Avon, Franklin, Kokomo, and now Greencastle, specializes in:
-Urologic oncology: cancers of prostate, bladder, kidney, testicles, and genitals
-Kidney stones: lithotripsy, laser and minimally invasive procedures
-BPH (enlargement of the prostate) – laser vaporization and latest ablation procedures
-Female Incontinence – slings and pelvic organ prolapse repairs, interstim procedure
-Laparoscopic and open procedures.
Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, completed his internship in surgery and residency in urology at the University of Illinois.

Dave Thomas, MD, Olajide Odelowo, MD, Kashif Ahmed, MD, Mehul Patel, MD and Wen Boynton, MD, all board certified in gastroenterology, currently provide quality gastroenterology care at Methodist Hospital, I.U. West Hospital in Avon and are now expanding their specialty to serve Putnam County.

Hernia Center
Dr. Paul Szotek
Dr. Szotek is a Board Certified General Surgeon specializing in complex hernia repair. As Medical Director of the newly founded Indiana Hernia Center, Dr. Szotek is developing an innovative new web based multidisciplinary practice model with disruptive potential. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Szotek performed the first surgery in Indiana utilizing Google Glass technology to guide removal of an anterior abdominal wall tumor and is currently working to develop telementoring, augmented reality, and virtual reality applications in surgery. On April 12, 2016 he performed the world’s first transcontinental live stream virtual reality hernia repair surgery from Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, IN to Brisbane, Australia. Dr. Szotek graduated with a B.S. degree from IU Bloomington, a degree in Medicine and his residency training from IU School of Medicine, a stem cell research fellowship in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital, and is currently working on his MBA at the IU Kelley School of Business. He resides in Carmel, IN with his wife (Sarah) and 2 boys (Carson 10 & Cooper 8) and enjoys cycling.

Dr. James Richardson is one of the few infectious disease doctors in Putnam County. He earned his medical degree and completed his internal medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. He finished his fellowship program for infectious disease at Vanderbilt University and has been in practice for over 20 years. Focusing on infectious diseases, Dr. Richardson treats a range of diseases caused by germs, such as influenza, pneumonia, and hospital-acquired infections.

Dr. Craig Shouse, DPM
Dr. Craig Shouse, DPM graduated from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2012 and completed a 3 year surgical residency at Loretto Hospital, Chicago, where he was appointed Chief Surgical Resident. Dr. Shouse is Board Qualified in Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Dr. Shouse traveled abroad to Honduras and completed a medical mission trip in 2015, he was part of a team that completed over 80 reconstruction foot and ankle procedures. Dr. Shouse has brought his learning experiences and expertise back to his home state of Indiana. Dr. Shouse enjoys all aspects of Podiatry focusing on heel pain, forefoot deformity corrections, sports medicine and surgery, wound care, arthritis treatment, arthroscopic surgery, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. As a native Hoosier, Dr, Shouse enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and is an avid golfer.
Dr. Shouse provides surgical care at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis, Surgery Center of Carmel, and Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, IN.
