Putnam County Hospital gives thanks for National Laboratory Week
National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week April 19-25, 2020. National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (NMLPW) is an annual celebration of the medical laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in every aspect of health care. NSH and other medical organizations wanted to show our support and gratitude for the hard work laboratory professionals do.
Putnam County Hospital would like to thank the Putnam County lab team. They have a combined experience of 258 years. In August of 2019, the PCH laboratory was inspected by COLA, to maintain their accreditation as a clinical laboratory. The surveyor, an experienced laboaratorian, performed an extensive review of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure that the laboratory and staff are in compliance with the requirements stated in the Federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). All areas of the laboratory process was examined, from collecting a specimen, testing, and reporting of results. In accordance with CLIA, the laboratory participates in this on-site inspection every two year, with a self-inspection in the intervening year. Putnam County Hospital’s Laboratory, are proud to announce that they have passed this rigorous inspection process with zero deficiencies.
Again, thank you to the Putnam County Laboratory for all of your hard work and dedication.
Putnam County Hospital, providing exceptional healthcare close to home.
